This is a permanent 20,000 square foot garden for hands-on education of local youth. The Junior Master Gardeners® program is part of the Texas Cooperative Extension's 4-H Youth program. Using Creative 4-H activities, we offer horticultural and environmental science education, plus leadership and life skills development. This garden is being designed by the young gardeners under the supervision of the JMG Specialist. Plans include raised growing beds for vegetables, a sundial that uses your shadow to tell time, purple sage maze, rainwater harvesting, butterfly garden and more. The garden will give yourh a window into the world of horticulture, opportunities to share their knowledge, community service experience, and expose them to the many career possibilities.
