The Crape Myrtle trial garden was established to test and identify cultivars that will tolerate saline irrigation water and soils. Crape Myrtle cultivars were chosen from the dwarf (less than three feet), miniature (three to five feet), and intermediate (five to ten feet) size catagories to accommodate the smaller urban landscape.
