ABOUT US

Welcome to the Website of the Permian Basin Master Gardeners.  We are an educational service organization of volunteers trained by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. PBMG members are trained in horticulture, landscaping, soil improvement, water conservation, rainwater harvesting, greenhouse management, ground fire and drought protection, garden entomology, and many other topics of importance to West Texas Gardeners.

WHAT WE DO

Our members offer services to residents of the Permian Basin through a wide variety of projects.

EXPAND YOUR KNOWLEDGE

Gardening remains the Number One hobby in the United States.  Here in the Permian Basin – in spite of climatic extremes and challenging soils – it is a highly popular pursuit.  The secrets of working with this area’s special conditions are what Master Gardeners have spent long hours learning and sharing.  We are happy to pass along that gardening knowledge to you.

Please note there is a small charge for some workshops and public information presentations.

OUR MISSION

The Permian Basin Master Gardener program is designed to support the Texas AgriLife Extension Service and provide horticultural training to Permian Basin Citizens.
